We met Whitney last night for the first time (Amanda Palmer concert) It was a pleasure. Terrible to hear about the insurance. On the road to home right now but will gladly help out when we get home.

I don’t know Whitney as well as you do but I believe everything you said to be true about her. She’ll get through this. She has her community and her community has her back . . . and her knee & the rest of her.

I agree with everything you said here…

as I still classify myself as being new to the bay area (just over 2 years) I was just amazed that how many folks I knew, in various different circles, knew this amazing woman – and she has been responsible for me meeting a lot of really wonderful people

and she is SUCH an awesome soul – warm, generous, gifted and so damn grounded…as a new person to the bay area, it can be a bit overwhelming, but Whitney a: makes it loos so easy, and b: makes sure you are there for the ride
